CSO Weekend: International Portraits
February 8-9, 2008
The beloved Grieg Piano Concerto is the centerpiece of a program of vivid musical portraits from Norway, Russia and France. Its bold strains of heart-on-sleeve romanticism will be brought to life by the sensational young Czech pianist, Lukáš Vondráček. The rising Finnish conductor, Pietari Inkinen, makes his U.S. debut.
Vondráček: "...instinctively musical, and technically faultless." The Guardian (UK)
