CSO Weekend: March 30-31, 2007
CSO principal bassist Owen Leetakes center stage this weekend to perform the the CSO premiere of the virtuosic Concerto for Bass Viol and Orchestra by John Harbison. Also on the program are Prokofiev's delightful Russian Overture and Rachmaninoff's Symphony No. 3, a work filled with lovely melodic lines and inventive musical ideas.
