The CSO's tradition of great music extends beyond Music Hall in Classical Roots: Spiritual Heights, part of the CSO's Sound Discoveries program. Classical Roots concerts and activities aim to serve the community in non-traditional ways and create bridges between the CSO and the neighborhoods of Greater Cincinnati.

This initiative takes members of the CSO and other ensembles to a variety of venues in the tri-state region. In addition, Classical Roots activities have brought African-American and Latino string students from area schools to Music Hall for career development workshops.
