World premiere & composer residency

The CSO is committed to bringing new works to the concert stage. American composer Jeffrey Mumford will be in residence with the CSO leading up to the world premiere of his new work on March 27-28. A complete schedule of the residency, including educational and community engagement activities, will be released at a later date.

The Bartók Project

Béla Bartók (1881-1945) was a giant of the 20th century, offering up a powerful fusion of folk and modernist styles. We salute his genius with three concert weekends (Jan 9-10, March 5-7 and 13-14) including discussion, film and chamber music events. Look for the Bartók Project icon in the season calendar.
