The Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra and Cincinnati Pops Orchestra
count on a number of volunteers who tirelessly support our concerts
and programs. They are organized into three main groups: Cincinnati
Symphony Association, CSO Encore!, Friends of the Pops and Multicultural
Awareness Council.
• Cincinnati
Symphony Association: Through volunteer services, the CSA
engages in activities and projects to enhance public relations
and the financial strength of the orchestra and its related
activities, including the Cincinnati Pops Orchestra. The CSA
is governed by the CSO Board of Trustees.
• CSO Encore!:
Young people in their 20s to 40s who are interested in many
facets of the Orchestra, and who are focused on audience development
through social events.
• The Friends
of the Pops (FOP): An all-volunteer organization formed
by Erich Kunzel in 1991 for the purpose of promoting and assisting
the Cincinnati Pops Orchestra.
• Multicultural
Awareness Council (MAC): Fosters and increases awareness
of CSO programs in the greater Cincinnati area through cultural
and diverse music programs, educational and community partnerships,
scholarships for talented minority student musicians and building
diverse audiences and artistic development.
