Bring your students to Music Hall for a CSO Young People's Concert!
The Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra presents Young People’s Concerts field trips at Music Hall for over 16,000 students grades K-12 each year. These full orchestra concerts are approximately 60 minutes in length and are designed to be educational, interactive and entertaining! Each of the three concert programs, geared towards specific grade brackets, has an accompanying Curriculum Guide with standards-based lesson plans for music specialists and classroom teachers that will be available in August. 2018-19 concert registration for groups over 10 attendees is now open! Students can enter to win our Young People’s Concert Melody Contest for a chance to hear their own melody in a new piece premiered by the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra! Recommended for grades 6 and up, this year’s Melody Contest pulls inspiration from footage of the Apollo 11 moon landing as we approach the 50th anniversary of this historic moment. Contest information and entry form are below.

The Beat Goes On
Join the CSO and guests as we travel internationally and explore the world of percussion through the music of beloved composers! Students will take an orchestral journey across the continents, singing and moving to music inspired by global cultures near and far. Hear music by Ravel, Bernstein, Ellington and plenty more!

One Giant Leap
Travel out of this world to experience the music, science and history of space exploration like never before! This interstellar concert in partnership with the Cincinnati Observatory marks the 50th anniversary of the moon landing and highlights the enduring relationship between music and the cosmos. Hear works like Holst’s The Planets, film music by John Williams and a world premiere inspired by the YPC Student Melody Contest winner!
