The CSO welcomes back the world’s most famous cellist, Yo-Yo Ma, for a special one-night-only concert with Music Director Louis Langrée. The revered musician will perform two of Tchaikovsky’s warmest works for cello and orchestra: Variations on a Rococo Theme and Andante Cantabile. Mr. Ma most recently performed with the CSO in May of 2011 in an all-Dvořák concert. Also on this sure-to-sell-out program is Schnittke’s avant-garde Moz-Art à la Haydn, which will be performed with some staging elements, as well as selections from Bizet’s Carmen and Ravel’s widely popular Bolero.
