CINCINNATI, OH (June 13, 2024)—The Cincinnati Pops has announced the updated line-up of special events for the 2024-25 season.  

  • EGOT-winning, critically acclaimed, multiplatinum musicianJohn Legend will make his Cincinnati Pops debut at Riverbend Music Center for John Legend: A Night of Songs And Stories With The Cincinnati Pops Orchestra on September 10, 2024, featuring intimate re-imaginings of Legend's greatest hits ("All of Me," "Ordinary People," "Tonight"), unexpected stories from his life and career, and selections from his most recent release LEGEND ("Nervous," "Wonder Woman"). Anthony Parnther will conduct.
  • The 1993 award-winning film Jurassic Park will be projected in HD as the Cincinnati Pops and conductor John Morris Russell perform John Williams’ iconic score live to picture September 21-22, 2024 at Music Hall. The action-packed adventure pits man against prehistoric predators in the ultimate battle for survival and features visually stunning imagery and groundbreaking special effects—movie magic 65 million years in the making. The film is rated PG-13.
  • Damon Gupton conducts the Pops special event Home Alone: Film in Concert November 30 and December 1, 2024 at Music Hall. The concert features the full screening of the 1990 film Home Alone, starring young Macaulay Culkin, projected in HD as the Cincinnati Pops and the May Festival Chorus perform John Williams’ charming film score. The film is rated PG.
  • John Morris Russell conducts the Pops’ New Year’s Eve special event featuring the music of American composer and songwriter Cole Porter, whose refined melodies and witty lyrics have become songbook standards on Broadway and in film. Critically acclaimed singer and pianist Tony DeSare, singer-trombonist Aubrey Logan and singer-tap dancer John Manzari join the Pops at Music Hall for Cole Porter favorites from Broadway and Hollywood, such as “Night and Day,” “I Get a Kick Out of You,” “I’ve Got You Under My Skin,” “It’s De-Lovely,” “You’re the Top” and more.
  • Steve Hackman returns to Music Hall February 11, 2025 to conduct the Cincinnati Pops and special guests in his latest symphonic synthesis, Beethoven x Beyoncé, featuring 15 of Beyoncé’s chart-topping songs—including “Girls,” “Crazy in Love, “Sorry,” “Halo,” “Cuff It,” “Single Ladies” and “Texas Hold ‘Em”—seamlessly interwoven with Beethoven’s Seventh Symphony.
  • Following a sold-out performance with the Cincinnati Pops in 2023, Emmy Award-nominated composer, singer-songwriter, and pianist Ben Folds returns to Music Hall on April 15, 2025 with the Cincinnati Pops for an evening of genre-bending music. Widely regarded as one of the major musical influences of the generation, Folds’ enormous body of work includes pop albums with Ben Folds Five, multiple solo albums, and numerous collaborative records. Ben Folds will join the Pops for his greatest hits as well as songs from his latest album What Matters Most.
