Favorite food: Going by genre, Italian food will always be my go-to comfort food for me. But I love Korean, Indian and Japanese food as well.
Hobbies: I love to read, cook and spend time with my dog.
Favorite orchestral work: Every masterwork performance features at least one piece that I love! There’s so much amazing symphonic repertoire I couldn’t pick just one.
How can the Orchestra make the world a better place? One of my favorite moments during a performance is right after we sit down and are getting ready play. There’s this feeling of anticipation and excitement not only to bring the music we’ve rehearsed to life, but to transport the audience somewhere they’ve never been before. We have the ability to take people out of their everyday lives, even just for a short amount of time, and let them be relaxed, curious, and in a totally different place. Every concert is a shared experience between the musicians and the audience and it’s something so unique and special and I don’t think we should underestimate that.
