Elizabeth Dunning
Position: Assistant Librarian
Education: DMA in Horn Performance from the University of Missouri-Kansas City
Hometown: Saint Joseph, Missouri
Neighborhood: North Avondale
Joined the CSO in 2018
Activities outside of the CSO: I play my horn in the Ohio Valley Majestic Brass, and occasionally sub with the Seven Hills Sinfonietta. Also, I am a member of the Cincinnati Book Arts Society.
Inspirations as a musician: I am inspired by how hard my colleagues work, and how the orchestra always sounds wonderful!
Current playlist: I have a wide variety of styles of music in my listening library, and most of the time I have it on shuffle. So I hear all kinds of style randomly.
Favorite orchestral work: It's hard to choose a favorite, but if I had to choose it would be Shostakovich's 2nd Piano Concerto. Or anything by Puccini!
Favorite food: Of all the terrific local restaurants here in Cincinnati, my favorite is O-Pie-O in East Walnut Hills.
Hobbies: I love to travel and plan fun trips. I have recently gotten very excited about binding books by hand and have enjoyed making a few special books for friends.
