What are your COVID safety protocols for in-person concerts?

As we prepare for the return to in-person performances, the health and safety of our audiences, artists and staff is our top priority. We are adhering to all CDC and state safety protocols, including physically distanced seating, reduced capacity, and masks for all audiences and staff. These protocols will be strictly enforced. Please review the safety protocols in the enclosed brochure, and visit cincinnatisymphony.org/safety for the latest updates before your concert. 

How will seats be assigned?

Seats will be assigned in a physically distanced manner, meaning no fewer than 6 feet between each household. We will do our best to seat you as close to your regular subscription seats as possible. However, capacity is limited and we cannot guarantee that seats will be assigned in the same section that you’re accustomed to. Seating priority will first be given to any subscribers with accessibility needs, followed by all other subscribers, with emphasis placed on length of tenure, donation status and frequency of attendance. While your seating location may be different, know that your seats will be assigned with our care and your safety in mind.

What happens with my original subscription package?

You have the option to trade your tickets from originally scheduled concerts to our new concert dates scheduled JAN-MAY 2021, and maintain your status as a subscriber, which guarantees you priority seating for the 2021/22 season. Additional options are outlined on your order form or at cincinnatisymphony.org/2021.

How do I maintain my subscription seats for the 21/22 season?

All current subscribers who donate their tickets, choose to attend live performances JAN-MAY, or put their ticket value "on account" for the 21/22 season will maintain their seating priority for the 21/22 season. This means that curated, same-seat package subscribers will maintain their original subscription seats, and will have the option to renew or request an upgrade to these seats next season. Create Your Own subscribers, whose seats change from concert to concert, will also maintain their seating priority.

I usually sit with friends. Can we be seated together?

Health and safety guidelines indicate that only persons from the same household may be seated together. We’ll do our best to seat you near your concert companions upon request.

I share my subscription with another household. How can they be accounted for?

Please let us know the names and contact information for others who share your subscription so that we can assign their tickets in their own account for contact tracing purposes. If you typically attend concerts together, we’ll do our best to seat you near your concert companions as noted above.

What if I don't feel comfortable attending live performances?

We will work with you to find the best solution, no matter your circumstances. You have several options, from selecting concerts and gifting tickets to friends and family who are able to attend, to donating your tickets or applying the value to next season’s subscription and enjoying digital concerts from home. Refer to the enclosed order form or contact the Box Office for personal assistance.

What are the programs?

Programs which allow for musicians to safely perform in smaller ensembles are still being finalized. You can look forward to the great music you’ve come to expect, and we’ll share details as soon as they are confirmed by DEC 14. Concerts will be approximately 60-75 minutes with no intermission.

I am a current subscriber, may I buy extra tickets?

Our first priority is to give every subscriber the opportunity to attend live performances. It is very likely that even with limited seating capacity, there will be concerts with additional seats available. As a subscriber, you will be offered the first chance to purchase additional tickets before they are made available to the public.

How will I receive my tickets?

We will email your tickets on Monday the week of each performance to the email address we have on file. If you do not have an email account, please contact the Box Office to have your tickets mailed.

What if I’m not feeling well the day of my selected concert?

The health and safety of our audiences is our top priority. If you are not feeling well, please stay home and take care of yourself. You may easily exchange your tickets free of charge to another date (based on availability), donate them for a tax credit or apply the value as a credit toward next season’s subscription. Please call the Box Office when you’re feeling better—we’re happy to provide a solution that works for you.

What if I bought parking for the originally scheduled concerts?

If you previously purchased parking, it will automatically be transferred to your newly selected concert dates and parking for any remaining concerts will be automatically refunded to your original payment method. Valet parking will not be offered. If you currently hold valet parking, please contact the Box Office for options. NOTE: Donor Parking will be available for all in-person concert dates in the lot next to Music Hall, for donors who qualify.

May I purchase parking for my new concert dates if I didn’t purchase previously?

Yes! Simply complete the pre-paid parking section on your order form, purchase online or contact the Box Office. We’re happy to arrange it for you.

Will you still be offering digital concerts in the spring?

Yes! We will continue to provide a way to experience the Orchestra digitally this spring. CSO & Pops Digital Concerts will resume in January (dates to be announced), with free access for everyone during the live premiere and for 24-hours after. Following that period, tickets to individual digital concerts will be available to purchase on demand for $20. Access to the full archive of digital concerts, CSO & Pops On Demand, is available to subscribers or by making a gift of $125 or more to the Orchestra Fund.

I am a single ticket holder. What do I do with my tickets to the originally scheduled spring concerts?

Single ticket holders to existing Spring 2021 concerts may choose to donate their tickets back to the Orchestra and receive a tax receipt, transfer the value of their tickets to a gift certificate good for 5 years or receive a refund. Please fill out this form, give us a call at 513.381.3300 or email us at [email protected] for assistance. Let us know what you would like to do with your tickets by May 31, 2021. After that time, any remaining tickets will be automatically considered a donation to the Orchestra and a receipt will be mailed to you in June of 2021.

Is the Music Hall Box Office open?

Yes, by phone and via email. The Box Office is currently closed to the public for in-person service and transactions. We are happy to assist you by phone at 513.381.3300 or online at [email protected]. 

Will there be shuttles?

No. Due to safety concerts, shuttles have been discontinued. There is a drop-off lane in front of Music Hall on Elm Street for those who need mobility assistance.

When will single tickets go on sale for the newly scheduled spring concerts?

After current subscribers have been seated and if capacity is available, single tickets will go on sale to the public in January, date to be announced. Let us know if you’d like to be notified by emailing us at [email protected].

Due to concert cancellations and further capacity restrictions, the organization has lost more than $5.3 million as a result of the pandemic.
