The miracle of life, close to its creation. Artistic Partner for the 2020 Festival, John Adams conducts his groundbreaking El Niño. Described as “some of the most beautiful episodes I’ve ever heard in any of his music” by Andrew McGregor, BBC Review, El Niño is a retelling of the Nativity story from unique perspectives. Drawing on poetry by Latin American women, Adams gives us a retelling of the birth of the child from a mother’s point of view.
