Emanuel Ax, a perpetual audience favorite, performs Haydn's shimmering Concerto in D. Composer Sebastian Currier took Louis Langrée’s CSO commission instructions literally: each of the four movements in Track 8 parallels a movement of Beethoven’s Eighth Symphony, in what Currier calls “a Beethoven remix.”
