If Mahler’s symphonies are like worlds, the Seventh is like the universe in a single night. Patterned in gigantic symmetry, the opening and closing movements are packed with enormous sounds, each like symphonies in themselves. The interior music is lighter by contrast, pivoting at the center with a ghostly dance. CSO Creative Partner Matthias Pintscher returns to conduct the huge orchestral forces needed for Mahler’s dusk-to-dawn universe, from clanging cowbells to titanic brass.

There will be increased traffic and demand for parking for the SAT, APR 22 performance of Mahler Symphony No. 7 as FCC has a game at TQL Stadium.
Central Parkway will be closed from Liberty Street to Ezzard Charles in both directions starting at 1 PM on Saturday. We recommend allowing plenty of extra time for traffic and arriving early for the best parking options. We strongly recommend purchasing pre-paid parking in Washington Park Garage—call 513.381.3300 or go online to purchase parking Saturday (at cost) for $15 in the Washington Park Garage.

Pre-paid parking is available for purchase starting MON, APR 17. The deadline for purchasing pre-paid parking for this performance is 4 PM FRI, APR 21.
