PRIMA LA MUSICA
In-Person Concert

• Translating to “First the Music”, sometimes music can say more than words, composers find a way to “speak” from the heart and connect to audiences through their music. What stories and messages can we find in the music?
• This concert will look at the historical context that led to composers writing emotional, evocative music. For some composers it may be a social movement occurring in society at the time, whereas for others it might be a personal experience that stirs their emotion. Social-Emotional learning & Social Studies/History.
