What do you draw inspiration from as a musician? I draw inspiration from all life experiences, from being a part of an amazing performance to traveling to a different part of the world and taking in a new culture. Everything we do in life influences how we perform!

Favorite orchestral work: Igor Stravinsky’s The Rite of Spring

What’s on your playlist?
 All disco all the time!

Funniest concert memory:
Though I wasn’t on stage for this, I did get to watch a cat sprint across the stage during a chamber music recital. Hilarity ensued when someone tried to run across the stage to catch the cat. The musicians on stage never stopped playing!

Favorite things to do Cincinnati?
Exploring our local parks with my dogs Annie and Daisy, hiking, biking, visiting various breweries and distilleries, visiting museums and the zoo!

Favorite meal or food?
 Japanese and Vietnamese cuisine.

What are your hobbies outside of music? I’m a regular at Orange Theory Fitness Cincinnati. I’m also an avid skier and scuba diver.

Fun fact:
 I’m a horror movie fanatic!

Oddest practice quarters:
I used to practice in the backseat of my mom’s minivan when she drove me to flute lessons.

How can the Orchestra make the world a better place?
Music truly is the universal language. You never know what someone is going through and how profound of an impact hearing a particular piece or concert might have on his or her well-being.
