Two extremes of orchestral scale combine for a showcase of the CSO that’s both intimate and expansive. Conductor Case Scaglione makes his CSO debut with Bach’s beautifully playful Brandenburg Concerto No. 4, which highlights individual virtuosity within a smaller ensemble, alongside Mahler’s Symphony No. 5. First performed in the U.S. by the CSO, Mahler’s Fifth Symphony employs an orchestra of impressive proportions, from its iconic trumpet opening to the beloved, emotional Adagietto.
Parking Alert
There will be increased traffic and demand for parking for the SAT, DEC 2 performance of Mahler’s Fifth as FCC has a playoff game at TQL Stadium.
Central Parkway will be closed from Liberty Street to Ezzard Charles in both directions starting at 3 PM on Saturday. We recommend allowing plenty of extra time for traffic and arriving early for the best parking options. We are currently sold out of Pre-Paid Parking in Washington Garage. Those who already have a pass are still guaranteed a spot.
We have secured a limited number of $30 parking spaces for ticket holders at 250 W. Court Street on a first-come-first-served basis. Spots may be paid day-of at the location, with cash (exact change only) or credit card. To access this lot present your printed, mobile or email ticket for the evening’s performance, or the purchase confirmation email. Attendants will be on site at entrances and will assist with parking and payment. NOTE: The CET Garage will not be available to ticket holders on this date.
