- Bizet completed his lively and melodic Symphony in 1855 at the age of seventeen, an early work demonstrating his voice as a composer.
- François López-Ferrer is a conductor with an international career who practically grew up backstage at Music Hall when his father, Jesús Lopéz-Cobos, was CSO Music Director from 1986-2001. Read program insights from François.
- Kareem Roustom's Dabke opens the program with vibrant energy based on a joyous folk dance and line dance of the same name from Palestine, Syria and Lebanon.
