The CSO’s weekly school residency program brings music instruction and integration to schools looking for increased arts access. Now completely virtual for the 20-21 school year, teachers can register for free access to over 50 lessons that explore how music intersects with Science, Math, and English Language Arts.
For an up close experience with members of the orchestra, schools can request a CSO ensemble performance or instrumental coaching session for their classroom! Currently offered virtually, Musicians In Schools experiences are open for pre-k through 12th grade.
Committed to supporting educators in learning and collaboration, the CSO Educator Network provides free Professional Development workshops, educator events, and resources to inspire teachers and create relevant learning opportunities.
The CSO is proud to partner with City Silence to present Mindful Music Moments, a daily in-school program combining music and mindfulness with the morning announcements to calm and focus the mind at the beginning of each school day. The program features musical selections from the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra, Cincinnati Pops, Cincinnati Opera and plenty more artists. Through mindful listening, just 4 minutes at the beginning of each day, students can strengthen their calm, focus and love for music.
